Ollie was born Aug. 5, 1928, in Hitchcook, Okla., to John Palmer and Anna Leslie McCartney and died Monday, May 11, 2009, at the home of her twin sister, Olive Schroeder.

On Sept. 2, 1949, she married Charlie Julius of Okeene, and together they moved to Enid in 1956. She became an avid blood donor when she discovered she had a rare blood type and donated more than 74 gallons of blood during her life. While living in Enid, she was an active member of Davis Park Christian Church until 2007, when she moved to Henderson, Ky., to live with her son.

Ollie is survived by her daughter, Roberta Branscum of McLoud; son, Charles Julius of Henderson, Ky.; two brothers, Chancy McCartney and Melvin McCartney; twin sister, Olive Schroeder of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren, Tim Branscum of McLoud, Christopher Branscum of Piedmont, Charlton Julius of Henderson, Ky., Jennifer Vire of Evansville, Ind.; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie, and two children, Glenn and Joyce Julius.
