Ruby is the daughter of George Henry and Flora Belle (Watkins) Albin. She married Marshall Elwood Morthland on March 23, 1932 in Decatur, IL.

Ruby B. Morthland, 94, of Decatur died 6:10 p.m. Friday (July 21, 2000) in Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Memorials: Kenney United Methodist Church or Vonderleith Living Center.
Mrs. Morthland was born Oct. 30, 1905, in Decatur, the daughter of George H. and Flora B. Watkins Albin. She was a member of Kenney United Methodist Church, Women's Christian Club and DeWitt County Home Extension. She married Marshall E. Morthland on March 23, 1932, in St. Charles, Mo.
Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Marilyn (Hubert) Bankson of Warrensburg; George (Dorris) Albin of Garland, Texas; Judith (Richard) Tilton of Dalton City; Flora (Jerry) Salerno of Terre Haute, Ind.; Joyce (Gary) Palas of Decatur; Betty (George) Rippel of Bloomington; Harriet (Don) Ray of Monmouth; Richard (Ruth) Albin of Warrensburg; sisters-in-law, Bernice Paceley and Julia Morthland, both of Decatur; brother-in-law, Verneal (June) Morthland of Macon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, James, Orville and Irvin and sister, Gladys.
