Daisy Elen Gregory, 95, passed away peacefully at Meadow View Manor in Grass Valley, California. There will be no services per her request. Her ashes will be placed with her husband's, who passed away April 19, 2008, in the family plot in Hamilton, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary, Nevada City, California. Daisy was born July 26, 1913 to Mr. and Mrs. I. P. Patterson, in Brashear, Missouri. She attended schools in Kirksville, Missouri. Daisy married Orville Gregory May 18, 1940 in New Franklin, Missouri. Daisy was a school teacher for almost 40 years. Her last years of teaching were at Johnson County Community College. She enjoyed watching all sports with her husband, Greg. They had a wonderful life together. After Greg's death, she moved to Grass Valley, California, to be near her niece. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Daisy received her B.S. & M.S. from Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia, Kansas. She taught Business Education for several years at Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in Shawnee, Kansas, and was the Department Chairman before moving on to Johnson County Community College.
