"Lancaster, Texas, Jan. 13. –W.W. Whismand [sic], 57 years of age, died Saturday night at the family residence, two miles southeast of Lancaster. He had been sick with pneumonia for a week. Mr. Whismand [sic] was born in Bloomington, Ind., came to Texas about twenty-five years ago and has lived near here ever since. Surviving him are his wife and the following children: Theodore Whismand [sic] of Wilmer, Mrs. W. W. Brothers of Pauls Valley, Ok; John Whismand [sic], now at Camp Travis; Mrs. Adolph Anderson and Earl, Birt, Dudley and Mary Belle Whismand [sic] of Lancaster; three brothers, Henry Whismand [sic] of Hutchins, Guy and Lem Whismand [sic] of Bonham, and one sister, Mrs. Alice Reese of Dallas."
