Edith H. Anderson, 82, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Dilliner, died Wednesday, October 3, 2007, in Southwestern Nursing Center, Pittsburgh.

She was born November 26, 1924, in Taylortown, a daughter of Jesse C. and Goldie L. Davis Hartley.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of Sunset Hills United Presbyterian Church, Mt. Lebanon.

A Morgantown (W.Va.) Business College graduate, she worked in the Pentagon during World War II and later was a Carmichaels Bank teller.

Surviving are her two loving children and their spouses, Carl L. and Sandy Anderson and Brenda and Bill Murphy, all of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren, Amy Brigner, Marty Anderson and Nicholas, Bill Jr. and Thomas Murphy; five great-grandchildren, Scott and Samantha Brigner and Alexis, Brooke and Chloe Anderson; and a sister, Mrs. Clarence (Wilma) Beall of Dilliner.

Deceased are her husband, Carl H. Anderson, who died October 12, 1997; a daughter who died in infancy; and two brothers, Roy and Merrill Hartley.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, and until 11 a.m., the hour of services, Saturday, October 6, with the Rev. Kenneth Haines officiating.

Interment will follow in Wolf's Cemetery, Dilliner.
