George F. Holton, Sr. of Kennett Square
George F. Holton, Sr., 89, a lifelong resident of Kennett Square, passed away Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, at Linden Hall in Kennett Square.
He was the husband of the late Jane Smith Holton, who passed away in 2001, and with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.
Born in Kennett Square, he was the son of the late Warren and Flora Conard Holton.
George was an electrical engineer for NVF Co. in Kennett Square for 47 years, retiring in 1982.
He was a member of the Lions Club of Kennett Square for 52 years and the Kennett Square Fire Company No. 1 since 1935.
George was an avid tennis player.
He is survived by a son, George F. Holton, Jr. and his wife, Gail, of Kennett Square; two daughters, Judith Farkas and her husband, Gerald, of Avondale and Joan Frampton and her husband, William, of Elkton, Md.; 10 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Service and burial will be private.
