Thomas N. Dyer Dead

Thomas N. Dyer, formerly of Troy, died Tuesday evening about six o'clock at the Masonic Home in St Louis, following a brief illness. He was 78 years and 8 months.
Mr. Dyer, who was affectionately known as "Uncle Tom" by many friends here and in Elsberry, where he also spent part of his life, he was one of Troy's most highly esteemed citizens. He was kindly, charitable and was everyone's friend.
Surviving him are two daughters: Mrs. Lowell Baker of Troy; and Miss Rebecca Dyer of St Louis; three brothers; James F and John D., of Troy and Charles Dyer of St Louis; and three sisters.
Funeral services were conducted at ten o'clock Thursday morning at the Troy Christian Church and burial was in the city cemeter
