William A. Otis, son of Judge A.G. Otis and a partner in the wholesale grocery firm of A.B. Symns & Co., at Atchison, died in Colorado Springs on Wednesday night.
It will be remembered that about a year ago Mrs. Grace Otis, formerly Miss Grace Hetherington, died very suddenly, though she had been considered in robust health, and now with father and mother both dead there remains but one of the family, a little daughter aged 11 years.
To this daughter Mr. Otis left life insurance to the amount of $35,000 and property valued at nearly $100,000 more.
B.P. Waggoner has been appointed guardian for the little girl and she will make her home with relatives in Atchison.
