Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Josephine White, widow of the late Joseph A. White, Siloam Springs, are to be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Big Spring Church in Douglas County, the Rev. Ira Johnson officiating. Mrs. White died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday after an illness of 10 years suffering from senile causes. She was born in Howell Co, No, November 10, 1879, the daughter of the late Dr. John Willaim Lovan and Alice (Hatcher) Lovan. Mrs. White spent her entire life in Howell and Douglas Counties, and was married here December 31, 1897 to Joseph A. White, who preceded her in death March 24, 1943. Mrs. White had been a member of the Pentecostal Church since early womanhood. Survivors include five children: Alice Collins, Retta Roper, Harley White and Barbara Jones, all of Soloam Springs and Elma Thompson of Dora, Mo; two sisters, Essie Ecton, Siloam Springs and Retta Sigman, Willow Springs, Mo. Also surviving are 110 grandchildren. Interment will be beside her husband in Thornton Cemetery under direction of Robertson Funeral Home. (Oregon County History Net)
