WORLD WAR I VETERAN

Sigurd Anderson was born November 19, 1887 in Norway. He was the son of Johan and Juliana (Lista) Anderson. He was six feet tall and had a ruddy complexion.

MILITARY RECORD:
Enlisted August 30, 1918 in Britton, South Dakota. Served in 32nd Company, 8th Battalion, 163rd Depot Brigade of U. S. Army. Discharged November 26, 1918 at Camp Dodge, Iowa as a Private. He is noted to having had served less than three months. He was credited with 87 days service.

He had no wife or children and was employed as a General Helper in farming.

Mr. Anderson had lived continuously in the state since 1931 and had lived at various addresses in Everett, Seattle and Poulsbo to October 1966, when he applied for admission to the Washington Veterans' Home at Restil.

Mr. Anderson died at the age of 79 years at the Veterans' Home Hospital on July 29, 1967. He is buried in the Home Cemetery.
