He was born February 1, 1921, in Louisville, Ky., and came to Venice in 1982 from Indianapolis. He retired in 1969 after 20 years as a police officer in Indianapolis. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a sergeant in the 694th Field Artillery Battalion.
Survivors include his wife, Martine "Marty"; and a sister, Lela Goemmer of Louisville.
A memorial service and internment will be in Beaver Dam, Ky. Farley Funeral home, Venice Chapel, is in charge.
