Funeral services are to be conducted Friday at 2pm for Carl Wilburn Kibby, a former resident of the Lucasville area who died Monday at Port Cinton. Rev. Homer Grooms is to officiate at McKinley Funeral Home with burial in Mound Cemetery at Piketon. Mr. Kibby, who had lived at Homer, Alaska, was visiting with a brother-in-law, Bill Waldecker in Port Clinton. In Alaska he had been a commercial fisherman and was later affiliated with Shell Oil Co.

He was born Feb 12, 1924 at Holden, W. Va., a son of Orville and Martha Stevens Kibby. The family moved to Scioto County while Mr. Kibby was young and he attended Lucasville schools and was graduated from Valley High School. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lulu Waldecker Kibby; two children, Keith and Kallen; the father, who lives at Millersburg; a brother, James Kibby of North Hill Rd, and four half-brothers, Tom, Timothy, George and Gary, all of Millersburg. The mother and a half-sister preceded in death. Friends may call at the funeral home.
