Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie M. Tackett, 68, of Rt. 5, Lucasville, were held at the Big Run United Baptist Church, at 2 p.m. Sunday, with Bros. Corbett Jenkins and Ralph Phipps officiating. Burial followed in Gardner Cemetery, near Morgantown, under the direction of the Boyer Funeral Home of Waverly. Friends called at the Tackett residence after 2 p.m. Saturday. Mrs. Tackett died at 8:17 p.m. Thursday in Ross County Medical Center Hospital, following a four year illness. Born on July 28, 1906 in Magoffin Co., Ky., she was the daughter of Steven and Rosalie (Tackett) Caudill. Both parents, one son, two sisters, and five brothers predeceased her. On Dec. 28, 1920 she married Roscoe Tackett who survives at home; two sons; six daughters; 61 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers; and three sisters. Mrs. Tackett was a member of the Big Run United Baptist Church.
