Samuel T. Adams
Samuel Thomas Adams, 82, Burgis Ave., Brown Addition, died yesterday morning in Pulaski Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Wythe County, the son of the late Elisha Adams & Nancy Mabe Adams, he is survived by his wife, Miss Annie Craig Adams; one stepson, Berman E. Craig, Pulaski; two step daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Chrisley and Mrs. J.S. Tickle Jr., both of Pulaski; two brothers, Ellis Adams and Erskine Adams, both of Roanoke; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Fuller, Roanoke; Mrs. Pearle Poole, Richmond; ten grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 pm from Thomas M. Seagle and Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Neil McKinnon officiating, assisted by the Rev. Sam Barnes. Interment will follow in Thornspring Cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home.
