WOODARD - Oscar S. Woodard of Cottage Grove died in Eugene Sunday March 9, 1969 at the age of 83. He was born in Iowa March 21, 1885 and was married in Marcola to in 1926 to Flora Irish who died in 1946. He was a retired lumberman and came to Cottage Grove in 1900. Surviving are 3 sons and 1 daughter: Steve of Corvallis, Roy of Philomath, Everett and Mrs. Jacqueline Holloway, both of California; 8 grandchildren; 3 brothers and 2 sisters: John F., Walter A., and Albert C. Woodard, Mrs. Susie Wood, Mrs. Ruth McCall, all of Cottage Grove; several nephews and nieces. Graveside services and vault interment will be held at Fir Grove Cemetery in Cottage Grove Saturday, March 15 at 10:30 a.m. with MILLS MORTUARY in charge. Those who wish may contribute to the Cancer Fund in lieu of flowers.
