Melva Alberta Jones was born at Liberal, Missouri the daughter of William Henry & Viola May (Aleshire) Jones. She attended schools in Liberal until the death of her mother when she was just 16. Sisters Melva, Sylvia and Opal stayed on the farm place until about 1930. They then moved to Pittsburg. She graduated high school from Pittsburg High School in about 1931.
Melva married John Keith Arabia of Pittsburg on 01 Feb 1936 in Carthage, Missouri.
Melva worked during the years for Crown Drug Store, F. W. Woolworth and was also a licensed beautician.
She was the wife of John Keith Arabia who preceded her in death 04 Jan 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and four brothers. She is survived by one sister. Melva was the mother of Paul Wayne, Sandra Kay and John Arthur Arabia.
