William "Bill" Henry Jones, Jr. was the 3rd child born to William Henry Jones, Sr. and Lucinda "Lucy" Elizabeth Mills. William Jr. was born in the province of Ontario, Canada, as were the first 6 of their children. When William Jr. was about 7 years old, his family migrated from Canada to Dickinson County, Kansas. There his last four siblings were born. Some of the older sisters married there and remained. About 1893, the rest of the family migrated further east to Barton County, Missouri. William Henry and Viola May Aleshire were married about that time. They were blessed with 11 children, one son dying in infancy.
William died in Barton County at the age of 57 years, 11 months and 18 days from pneumonia and influenza.
