Diana Evelyn Elzea, 101, a former resident of Bartholomew county, died at 11:40 o'clock Sunday morning at her home, 1135 St. Peter's street, in Indianapolis. She was the widow of the late Scott Elzea.
Funeral services were held at 3:15 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Barkes and Inlow funeral home with burial at Springer cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dore E. Nolting of Indianapolis; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Etta Craig of Greenwood, four grand children and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Elzea was born in Coles county, Illinois, April 13, 1858, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John [Miles] Murphy. In 1894 she was married to Mr. Elzea, who died in 1922.
She was a member of the Elizabethtown Methodist church and had lived most of her life in Bartholomew county. For the last 20 years she had made her. home with her daughter, Mrs. Nolting, in Indianapolis. She had been bedfast for one and a half-years.
