Adam Kepner, age 75, business man and a famrer who spent all of his life on a farm southeast of Cicero, passed away at the hailton county hospital early Tuesday. He suffered a stroke a few days ago Until he was stricken he was in good health, but never regained consciousness after he became ill a week ago.
Funeral services will be held at the Bethel Lutheran church in Cicero at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Friends may call at the Cusick funeral home in Cicero any time after noon Wednesday.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Magdalene Kepner, one son Talmage kepner, a daughter, mrs. Fred Heinzman, near Cicero,; two grandchildren, Betty and Frederick heinzman; a sister, Mrs. Isabelle Zelt, widow of John Zelt, of Ciceero, and a brother, edward kepner of Dighton, Kansas.
The deceased was one of the most widely known men of the northern part of the county. He became a stockholder of the Citizens National Bank of cicero, now the Hamilton County Bank, at the time of its organization fifteen years ago, has served as vice president for the past seven or eight years and was a director in the cicero Co-Operative elevator for many years. But he devoted most of his time to his extensive farming interests.
He was a member of the Bethel Lutheran church of Ciceero, and notwithstanding his activity along business lines he also was interested in church work. His wide circle of friends also remember him as aman who befriended those in need. many sought his advice along various lines.
