Isaac Varnell, son of Mary and Isaac Varnell, was born Feb. 16, 1888, at Bado. He died at his home Friday, October 10, at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 26 days.

He was married to Aillia Vanderver Feb. 18, 1906. To this union six children were born: Chloe McKinney and Veral Noel, of Cabool; Mary Wren, Huggins; Bertie Coble of Perry, Kansas; Beulah Mitchell, Mtn. Grove; who survive and one daughter, Velma Cooper who preceded him in death. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Mr. Varnell has served in all phases of church work, since he was saved in 1917, being superintedent of Sunday School, a deacon, helping in the choir and with special singing. He taught Bible classes or helped in any department where he was needed.

Funeral services were held at the Fairview Church Sunday afternoon, Oct. 12, with the Rev. Payton Smyer and the Rev. Curtis Yarnell officiating. Burial was in the Bado Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home of Houston.
