After 51 years of marriage, Mrs. Anderson passed away November 13, 1968. He was united in marriage to Mrs. Esther Guenther of Alexandria April 1, 1971. Esther has brought three years of happiness and blessings to Oliver and to the family.
Oliver became ill with cancer and was hospitalized in St. Cloud October 1, 1973. He was there until December. He was then able to be home until February 9th at which time he was hospitalized at the Douglas County Hospital, where he died February 16th.
He is survived by his wife Esther; six children; six step-children; two sisters, Selina Johnson of Osakis and Minnie Thompson of Washington. Oliver was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters and 2 grandsons. Oliver was a kind and indulgent husband and father and his loss is a terrible blow to the devoted family. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and relatives.
His funeral was held at Osakis Lutheran Church, February 18th with Pastor Helgen in charge. Pallbearers were Merle Harth, Richard Harth, Alan Anderson, Bradley Peterson, John Wilson and Dave Ascheman. Interment was made in the East Evergreen Cemetery.
