Harold Anderson, 72, Osakis, died July 18, 1998, at Douglas County Hospital.
Harold Oliver Anderson was born May 28, 1926, in West Union Township. He was baptized at home and confirmed into the Lutheran faith at Osakis Lutheran Church. He married Marilyn June Dunoe in February 1949.
Survivors include his twin brother, Jerald and wife, Lois of Lonsdale, Minn.; sister, Luella Wilson and husband, William of Alexandria, VA; brother, Everett Anderson and wife, Shirley of Osakis; sisters, Doris Harth and Verla Peterson of Osakis; and sister-in-law, Myrtle Gordon of northern Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Daisy Anderson; his wife, Marilyn; brother-in-law, Jerold Harth.
Memorial service was held July 23 at Osakis Lutheran Church with Rev. Ron Calvert officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Harold's VFW Post comrades. Military burial was held at Evergreen Cemetery in Osakis with Taps played by Brooke Peterson, Harold's great-niece.
