Eleanor Brown
VENETA - A celebration of life will be held May 21 for Eleanor Brown of Veneta, who died May 13 of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She was 73.
She was born July 3, 1931, in Grants Pass to Orvil and Dorothy Worden Turner. She married Elmore Brown in Twin Falls, Idaho, on May 7, 1951.
She also lived in Swisshome and Austa. Brown was employed by the Fern Ridge School District. She enjoyed genealogy, road trips and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Rodney of Bremerton, Wash., and Charlie of Veneta; a daughter, Pennie Farnham of Port Orchard, Wash.; a brother, Earl Mathews of Washington; a sister, Jean Machado of California; and nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Saturday's memorial will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 25157 E. Broadway in Veneta. West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Hospice.
