OBITUARIES
Mrs. M. Williams
Malad, Idaho - Mrs. Marianne R. Williams, 48, of Malad, died yesterday at an Ogden hospital following an illness of five months.
Mrs. Williams was born at St. John, Oneida County, Idaho, Aug. 5, 1905, a daughter of William S. and Sarah Jones Pierce. She was reared and educated in St. John, graduated from the Malad High School and attended the USAC at Logan, and Idaho Tech at Pocatello.
She was married to Leo Daniel Williams in Salt Lake City, Nov. 30, 1921.
A member of the LDS Church, Mrs. Williams served as president of the Henderson Creek Primary for three years, as president of the Cherry Creek Primary for four years, president of the Cherry Creek YWMIA for nine years, was a Relief Society counselor for five years and a Sunday School worker.
Survivors include her husband, Malad; five sons, Glen Lee Williams, Army; Terrell Blair Williams, Darl Craig Williams, Delmar Pierce Williams, Roger John Williams, all of Malad; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Pierce, St. John; one brother and one sister, Sherman Pierce, Malad; Mrs. Frank E. (Nettie) Smith, Idaho Falls.
Funeral services are to be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Malad Second Ward Chapel. Bishop Asael John of the Cherry Creek Ward will be in charge. Friends may call at the home of Bertis D. Call, 423 Bannock St., Malad, tomorrow evening and Friday until times of services. Interment will be in the Malad City cemetery under the direction of the Benson Funeral Home.
