She was born to Connie Rice and Harvey Hays at Lapwai on May 4, 1909.
She moved to Deman, Saskatchewan, Canada until she was 16. She then moved to Moscow where she met and married George Wesley Cunningham on May 8, 1927. They had 10 children together. He died June 4, 1951.
She later married Tom Morris on Sept. 1, 1956. They lived at Kodiak, Alaska, until he retired and they then came to Kamiah. He died on Feb. 7, 1979.
