Mrs. Olevia D Bratton (nee Duck), wife of Mr. John Bratton, died at her home on Kimbrell Creek, in the south part of the county, on Sunday morning, March 12th, at 10:30 o'clock, of heart failure.

Mrs. Bratton was born Jan 15, 1844 and was 72 years and 2 months only. She leaves a husband and nine children living, three sons and six daughters; Dot, James, and Ezra; Mrs. Mary Jane Williams, of Van Buren, Ark.; Mrs. Belle Kelley and Mrs. Parlee Kelley of Marshall, Ark; Mrs. Laura Griffin of Leslie, Ark., and Misses Ethel and Maude at home. Six children have died - three in infancy and three that were grown.

Mrs. Bratton joined the Methodist Church in 1858, and lived a consistent Christian during all her life.

The funeral services were conducted Monday by Rev. J. A. Reynolds, and interment was made in the Sulphur Springs graveyard in the presence of many sorrowing relatives and friends.
