Obit from New Milford Times dated April 12, 1956:

"The funeral of Merton Wilbur Thomas Roebling of Pickett District will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at St John's Episcopal Church with the Rev. John P. Cuyler officiating. Burial will be in Center Cemetery.
Mr. Roebling died Tuesday at New Milford Hospital after an illness of several months.
He was born in New Milford May 10, 1909, a son of John and Bertha Thomas Roebling. He attended New Milford schools graduating from New Milford High School in 1926. He was employed in the engineering divison of the State Highway Department.

He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church of which he was a former vestryman. He was a past noble grand of Good Shepherd Lodge of Odd Fellows, past master of Metichewan Grange and a past deputy of Housatonic Valley Pomona Grange.

Mr. Roebling was married to the former Ruth Hotchkiss on Feb. 21, 1931.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by two daughters, Jane and Linda Roebling of New Milford and a sister, Mrs. George Cooper of Toledo, Ohio.
Lillis Funeral Home will be open tonight from 3 to 5 and after 7 p.m.. Good Shepherd Lodge will meet at the funeral home tonight at 7:15 p.m."
