SHELBY -- Mr. Hillard Earl Gammons, 71, retired General Motors inspector, died April 7, 1993, at Gaston Memorial Hospital. Funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight.
Survivors are his wife, Anna; sons, Carlos Gammons of Inkster, Mich., Jimmy Gammons of River Falls, Wis., Steve Gammons, Fred Gammons; daughters, Mrs. Betty Grant of Asheboro, Mrs. Kimberly Legere of Fitchburg, Mass.; brothers, Bobby Gammons of Paris, Mich., Kenneth Gammons of Heritage, Tenn.; sisters, Ms. Ruby Dickens, Ms. Plummie Thaxton, both of Madison, Tenn., Ms. Cleona Tate of Ridgetop, Tenn., Ms. Kat Meadows of Greenbriar, Tenn., Ms. Mary Chambers of Garden City, Mich., Ms. Dot Jackson of Stewart, Tenn.
