Lenzy Swaim, 55, of 125 West Chicago st., died Thursday in the Pawating hospital in Niles, after a week's illness.

Mr. Swaim was born Feb. 12, 1898 in Rensselaer, Ind., the son of Lenzy and Ida Swaim. He married Lea Onna Stowers on Oct. 26, 1922 in Rensselaer.

Mr. Swaim was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Buchanan and had been employed at the Clark Equipment company for 30 years, until a week ago. Mr. Swaim came to Buchanan 31 years ago.

He is survived by his widow, five daughters, Mrs. Dolly Miller, route 4, South Bend, Mrs. Orpha Hawks and Mrs. LaVerne Howe of Buchanan, Mrs. Juanita Kiel of Benton Harbor and Miss Jessie Lee at home; three sons, Lenzy E. and William H. of route 1, Buchanan, and Harold L., at home; three sisters, Mrs. Albert Hurley of Buchanan, Mrs. Clinton Saidla of Kalamazoo, and Mrs. Jerry Tullis of Waterloo, Ia.; two brothers, Paul of Buchanan and Alvin of route 4, South Bend; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday at the Swem funeral home. Arrangements are incomplete. Burial will be in Oak Ridge cemetery. Friends may call at the Swem funeral home.
