Birdge "Bud" Babcock

Birdge J. 'Bud' Babcock, 78, Moline, died Thursday, April 19, 2001, at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island. Services will held 9:30 a.m.. Monday at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, card 10:00a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline where he was a member. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. MiIltary rights will be conducted by VFW Post 569/200.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Seton School in Moline. Birdge was born July 8, 1922, in Rush City, Minn., to Birdge and Julia Rafferty Babcock.

Spouse & survivors removed for privacy

Mr. Babcock was employed for 21 years with Priester Construction Co., Davenport. Retiring in 1961 as carpenter foreman. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, Father Bader Assembly, Rock Island, and a member of Carpenters Union Local 4. He enjoyed fishing.
