Completed arrangements are being announced for Gertie Ledbetter Clark, 93, of Pensacola, Fla., a former resident of Obion, who died March 6, 2009, at Convenant Hospice in Pensacola.

Mrs. Clark's ashes will be buried at Elbridge United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Saturday May 2 by her sons, John Ledbetter and Nick Ledbetter. There will be a brief ceremony, and family and friends are invited to attend the burial and then to meet in a reserved room at Sassafraz Restaurant next to Hampton Inn in Union City for lunch at 12:15 p.m. to celebrate her life with photos and mementos. The family requests that memorials be made to Obion County Cancer Agency; or to Covenant Hospice, 5907 Berryhill Road, Milton, FL 32570.

Mrs. Clark was born July 25, 1915, in Williamsport, daughter of the late Arthur E. and Estella (McNabb) Anderson. She had been employed by Southern Bell and began her career in Obion, later moving to assignments in Union City and Memphis, where she retired. Her hobbies included golf and bridge.

Survivors also include her daughter-in-law, Shirley Ledbetter; her sister, Jettie B. Rogers of Germantown; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
