A HIGHLY RESPECTED GENTLEMAN.

The passing of Mr. Stanton Wooldridge removes from Russell county one of her best and most popular citizens. The end suddenly came at his home, near Sewellton last Thursday morning. He was fifty-seven years old and was born and reared in Russell county where very body was his friend and he was a friend to every body. He was jovial, and in disposition, kind, and one of the most devoted men to his family the writer ever knew-a Christian gentleman, one who will be greatly missed from the affairs of his native county. He was a man who had plenty and the unfortunate always found in him a friend, one who at all times was willing to administer tp their needs. In our judgment had weather conditions been favorable, hundreds of friends would have attended his funeral. Pence to his memory; sympathy for the surviving members of the family.
