PEORIA -- Nellie H. Marshall, 82, of Peoria, formerly of Edelstein, died at 5:22 a.m. Sunday, June 13, 1999, at Proctor Hospital.

Born Sept. 30, 1916, in Edelstein to John and Frances Wilhelm Holmes, she married John Marshall on May 27, 1944, in Mossville. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, David of Edelstein; two brothers, John Holmes of Peoria and Donald Holmes of Washington, D.C.; and one sister, Jean Keithley of Dunlap.

A graduate of Bradley University with honors in home economics, she taught in Neponset and Sherrard.

She was a member of Edelstein Congregational United Church of Christ, where services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Larry Kirk will officiate. Visitations will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home in Princeville and one hour before services at her church. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery in rural Edelstein.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
