Mrs. Altha Jones Harris died Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Wilson Achord in Walker. Born in Franklin County, Miss., she was 79 years old and lived in Walker. She was a member of Plainview Baptist Church, Walker.

Survived by her husband, J.R. Harris of Walker; four sons, Robert R. Harris of Baton Rouge, Melton L. Harris, Roy P. Harris and Clyde E. Harris, all of Walker; four daughters, Mrs. Beulah Achord and Mrs. Retha Cannon, both of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Zadie Achord of Walker and Mrs. Lozain Wooley of Sacramento, Calif.; one brother P.P. Jones of Denham Springs; 36 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
