Mr. Henry Schwegmann Oeltjendiers, 69, of Ellinger, TX passed through death into eternal life Wednesday, March 25th, 2009.
Henry was born in La Grange, Texas on August 7, 1939, the son of the late John and Leonora (Schwegmann) Oeltjendiers. He married Jenelle Roesler on September 8, 1963 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in La Grange. Mr. Oeltjendiers was one of the first council members to help establish Faith Lutheran Church in Weimar, TX. He worked at MG Incorporated as a bookkeeper for 8 years. He retired from National Bank & Trust after 37 years in the bookkeeping department. As a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church he served on the church council, building and grounds committee and senior high youth sponsor for 9 years. He was a past Ellinger Chamber of Commerce Board Director, former member of the Ellinger Vol. Fire Dept., and current Ellinger Sewer and Water Dept. Board Director.
He is survived by his wife , Jenelle Oeltjendiers and Daughter JoAnn wife of Tim Bogisch of Seguin, TX; Grandchildren, Tiffany Louise Bogisch, Ashley Nichole Bogisch, Brandon Charles Bogisch all of Seguin, TX as well as numerous cousins, extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his Parents; and Father and Mother -in-law,Arnold and Linda Roesler.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, La Grange, TX, at 10:30AM on Saturday, March 28th, with Pastor Sid Roden officiating. Interment will follow in the La Grange City Cemetery La Grange, TX. Visitation will be from 4-8PM Friday with a Prayer Service at 7PM at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church Building Restoration Fund, Ellinger Fire Dept., Ellinger Water Board, or the charity of choice.
