Funeral services for John Oeltjendiers,64,Fayette County farmer and brother of Fritz Oeltjendiers of Weimar,were held Friday afternoon,Feb.2,at St. Paul's Lutheran Church,La Grange,with burial in the city cemetery there.

He died Wednesday afternoon,Jan.31,in Fayette Memorial Hospital,three [days] short of his 64th birthday anniversary.

Born Feb.3,1898,in Germany,Mr.Oeltjendiers was 4 years old when his parents,John and Johanna Oeltjendiers,brought him to this country,settling in the Holman community.He married Miss Lenora Schwegmann at Columbus on April 12,1938.

She survives,along with a son,Henry Oeltjendiers of La Grange;two sisters,Mrs.Sophie Ripper of Schulenburg and Miss Lena Oeltjendiers of Kansas;and two brothers,August Oeltjendiers of La Grange and Fritz Oeltjendiers here.
