Word was received here today of the death of Francis Busby, 73, formerly of Taylorville which occurred yesterday morning at his home in Winfield, Kansas, following a short illness.
The decedent was born in Greenwood Township, twelve miles south of Taylorville January 2, 1855, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Madison Busby. He married Miss Laura Oller in 1879 who died in 1916. Following their marriage they moved to Springfield and later Taylorville where he engaged in the grocery business.
About ten years ago he retired from active life and moved to Winfield where he has since lived. He married Mrs. Belle Hart about five years ago who survives.
He is survived by two sons, Jason Busby, Taylorville, and Peter Busby, of Oregon; also three sisters and three brothers.
The remains are being brought to Taylorville where the funeral services and burial will take place.
