Mrs. James Zahorik, 93, of 1708 Michigan Ave., Manitowoc, died Wednesday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 am. Saturday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home and at 9 am. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. E. A. Radey will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Zahorik, the former Mary Elmer, was born Feb. 25, 1872, daughter of the late Wencel and Barbara Skwor Elmer. She was married to James Zahorik Dec. 3, 1898, at Chicago, and the couple located at Jambo Creek and came to Manitowoc in 1923. Mr. Zahorik had been director of Francis Creek State Bank and manager of Francis Creek Lumber Co. He died in 1944.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Wencel Krish, of Manitowoc, two brothers, Henry, of Maribel and Charles, of Milwaukee and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30pm.
