Cecil A. Steele, 77 years of age, died very early Friday morning in Goshen general hospital, following an extended illness.
Born Sept. 2, 1916, in Goshen, Cecil was the son of Elmer and Dora Holderman Steele. At the age of 50 years, he married Mrs. Eleanor Barrows Gay.
Mr. Steele moved from Elkhart to Syracuse 20 years ago. He was manager of the Pacer Station in Syracuse for many years. Mr. Steele was a member of Syracuse Eagles Lodge.
Mourners in addition to his wife are one daughter, Patricia Gay; two sons, Richard of Indianapolis and Elmer; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother Raymond of Elkhart.
