NEWSPAPER OBITUARY - Willie P. Ireland, 98, of Pennsboro, WV., died Friday, Dec. 27, at his home following an extended illness. He was born August 20, 1876, at Pullman, a son of the late George M. and Mary Law Ireland. He was twice married, first to Laura Pritchard Ireland, who preceded him in death. He later married Lydia Richard Ireland, who survives. In addition to his widow, he is survived by six sons: Clyde Ireland, St.Mary's, WV., Herbert Ireland, Pullman, WV., Hosea Ireland, McCain, N.C., Guy Ireland, Pullman, WV., Owen Ireland, Middleton, Ohio., William P. Ireland, Jr., Weston, WV., one step-son, Homer Jr. Richard, Pennsboro, W.v,. one daughter, Mrs. Helen L. Richard, Pennsboro; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. two daughters, 6 brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Mr. Ireland was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church in Pullman. He was a farmer and surveyor in Ritchie Co.. Submitted by Bill Cutlip
