Carolyn H. Snavely, 75, of 1520 Harrisburg Pike, formerly of Malvern and Paoli, died Tuesday at The Mennonite Home, following a lengthy illness.
She was a graduate of East Carolina Teacher’s College in North Carolina. She worked for the West Chester Daily Local News where she was a proof reader.
Born in Jamesville, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Julian M. and Bettie Leary Hassell. She was the wife of the late Dr. J. Robert Snavely.
Carolyn was of the Methodist faith.
She enjoyed sports, especially baseball.
Surviving is one brother, John L. Hassell of Williamstown, N.C.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia H. Smith; and a brother, U. S. Hassell.
