Mrs. Sarah Alley Gleason, 79, of 1920 Case Knife Road, Pulaski, died Monday afternoon in the Montgomery County Hospital, Blacksburg. Born in Carroll County Oct. 26, 1900, she was the daughter of the late Robert Alley and Della Mabe Alley. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Gleason. She was a member of the Bob White Boulevard Church of God. Surviving are one daughter, Mary Jane Rankin, Pulaski; two sons, Jack Andrews and Hensel G. Andrews, both of Pulaski; one sister, Pearl McNeely, Pulaski; one brother, Ed Alley, Roanoke, and 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. from the Bob White Boulevard Church of God with the Rev. James E. Wynes officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visiting will be today at Stevens with the family receiving friends from 1 to 9 p.m.
