Descendant of William B Barwick 1755 - 1807 Revolutionary Soldier and Elizabeth Phillips 1760 - 1820

Services for Mr. James Lott Barwick, 70, will be held at 2 o?clock Friday in the chapel of Sammons Funeral with the Rev. George Grimes officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery.

Mr. Barwick was a native of Soperton and was a son of the late Dr. James G. and Ruby Mullis Barwick.

From 1949 to 1952, he served in the United State Marine Corps in Korea with the 8th Signal Battalion. He was in the telecommunications industry for over 40 years and retired in 1998. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Soperton. Mr. Barwick died Tuesday.

Survivors include a daughter, Debra Brooker of Stone Mountain; sister, Ruby Jo Sanders of Fayetteville; and a granddaughter, Rachel Amanda Farris of Stone Mountain.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7 P.M. to 9 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation, 1230 Johnson Ferry Road, Suite E30, Marietta, Ga., 30068. Sammons Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements .

His last resident address was: Stone Mountain, Dekalb, GA
