Mrs. Swen Liljenberg (nee Anna Olivia Nelson) was born August 15, 1873, in Smaland, Sweden. She came here at the age of 12, and was confirmed at the Chisago Lake Lutheran church.

She was united in marriage to Swen Liljenberg July 2, 1892. Her husband and three children preceded her in death. Seven children survive her and are: Clara (Mrs. Wenner Wennberg), Minnie (Mrs. Carl Anderson), Alma (Mrs. Raymond Johnson), Harold Liljenberg, Ethel (Mrs. Milton Linnell), Walden Liljenberg, Mildred (Mrs. Waldo McKinney). Two sisters Mrs. Hilma Swanson and Mrs. Freda Gustafson also survive with 35 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 2:30 in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Almelund. The Rev. Chindvall officiated, with music and singing by Mrs. Melvin Johnson, Mrs. Chester Wiberg and Mr. Raymond Gustafson.

Pallbearers were Mr. Donald Wennberg, Mr. Wm. Anderson, Mr. John Miller, Mr. Lloyd Anderson, Mr. Eldon Liljenberg and Mr. Peter Anderson.
