One of Chisago County's eldest citizens, Mrs. John Erick Anderson died at 7 pm Saturday at the age of 92 years, the end coming at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Emil Shoberg of Almelund. Mrs. Anderson suffered from general infirmities of advanced age.

Born in Calvsvik, Kronobergs lan, Sweden, Feb 10, 1849, the deceased, whose maiden name was Christina Carlson, daughter of Peter and Stina Carlson, came to America in 1871. She was employed in Stillwater until her marriage which took place in St. Paul where she became the wife of J. E. Anderson. For a time the couple lived in Stillwater and then moved to a farm now occupied by her son, Charles E. Anderson. In 1915 the couple moved to Almelund and in the year 1922 following the death of her husband she moved in with her daughter, Mrs. E. Shoberg. Mrs. Anderson was a very active member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Almelund and generally known in this community as a faithful wife and mother respected by all who knew her.

The deceased is survived by two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Emil Shoberg and Mrs. Ida Wiberg of Center City, Andrew R Anderson of Almelund, and Charles E. Anderson of Center City. Two daughters and 1 son have preceded her in death. She also leaves 10 grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday of this week at 2 pm at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev M. L. Holmberg officiating. Singing songs were Mr. and Mrs. Royal Melander, Mrs. George Nelson, Mr. Arnold Sellman who rendered, “Stilla Ja Alt Mera Stilla" and "Till det Harlinga land ofan akyn.” Interment was made in the cemetery of the Church at Almelund and pallbearers were: Richard Johnson, St. Paul, Walter Olson, Minneapolis, Gust Nelson, Minneapolis, Gunnar Bergstrand, Robbinsdale, Minnesota, Emil Martenson, Center City, and Clifford Anderson of Almelund.

Relatives and friends from a distance at the funeral were: J. C. Carlson, Mrs. Emma Carlson, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Carlson, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Johnson of Rush City, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Johnson and Ruby of St. Paul, Mr. and Mrs. Gust Nelson of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Olson of Minneapolis and Mr. and Mrs. Gunnar Bergstrom of Robbindale.
