When James Malcom McLachlan was born in January 1865 in Middlesex, Ontario, Canada, his father, Duncan, was 50 and his mother, Margaret (Mc Neil) McLachlan, was 44. He married Margaret May Peters on July 4, 1891 in Evart, Michigan. They had four children in 14 years three Daughters and one son. James came to the United States with his parents in 1880, His occupation was Farmer and by the time he died he owned his own farm. He died on August 11, 1922, in Longmont, Colorado, at the age of 57, and was buried at Hillside Cemetery in Fort Lupton, Colorado.
