Steve D. Jennings, 76, of Clay City, died Sunday at 6:10 p.m. at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Clint Powell in Bethany.

He was born Dec. 10, 1893 in Clay County.

Surviving is his wife; Maggie; four sons, Steve of Huntington Beach, Calif., Everett of Decatur, Charles of Gary, bid., and Lester of Iuka; nine daughters, Mrs. Delbert (Jessie) Turner of Decatur, Mrs. Herman (Beulah) Colclasure of Luka, Mrs. Otis (Ollie) Greenwood of Olney, Mrs. Darlene Ilullman of Gary, Ind., Mrs. Ray (Maxine) Read of Noble, Mrs. Gene (Rosie) Henson of Iuka, Mrs. Cheryl (Sandra) Oswald of Blue Island, Mrs. Rick (Lula Belle) Clark of Gardenia, Calif., Mrs. Cline (Sharon) Powell of Bethany.

Also surviving is a brother, W. G. Jennings of Flora; six sisters, Mrs. Maude Goodman of Louisville, Mrs. James Mullaney of Langrove, Calif., Mrs. Elaine Childers of Illinois, Mrs. Stella Fellingsworth of Mansfield, Mrs. Ruth Bateman of South Bend, Ind., Mrs. Edith Toliver of Portage, Ind.; 45 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Clay City
Chapel of the Easley Funeral Home, with burial in the Clay
City Cemetery. Rev. Barney Meadows will be the minister.

Friends may call at the funeral home.
