Obituary:
Jeannette Alda Blosser White, 86, of Stanley, died on Monday, April 23, 2007, at the Vindobona Nursing Home in Braddock Heights, MD.
She was born on May 2, 1920, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late G. Frank and Mary Rinehart Blosser.
Mrs. White grew up and attended school in Page County and made her home in the Double Toll Gate area except when she accompanied her husband on work assignments to Panama and Liberia. She worked in the cafeteria at the Shenandoah Valley Academy in New Market and at the Daniel Morgan Middle School in Winchester.
In 1940, she married Donald L. White of Winchester, who died on Feb. 25, 1984.
She is survived by two sisters, Alma Jenkins of Kilmarnock, and Clarice White of Braddock Heights, Md.; a brother, Dale Blosser of Orange City, Fla.; and numerous nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, in the original Seventh-day Adventist Church in Stanley. There will also be a brief graveside service at 3 p.m. on Monday, April 30, in the Mount Hebron Cemetery in Winchester.
