Obituary:
Last rites were held on Thursday, August 20, in the Stanley Seventh Day Adventist Church, for Frank G. Blosser of Stanley, who passed away on August 18, after an illness of three months.
Mr. Blosser, a son of the late Timothy and Emma Comer Blosser, was born in Stanley December 12, 1892. In 1914, he married the former Mary M. Rhinehart, who survives. Also surviving are 4 daughters, Mrs. Margaret Dove of New Market, Mrs. Alma Jenkins, Mrs. Jeanette White of Winchester and Mrs. Clarice White, of Stanley; one son, Dale Blosser of Richmond; a brother, David Blosser, of Stanley and a sister, Mae Foltz, of Stanley.
He is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mrs. Betty Rhinehart and Mrs. Mary Rodgers; and 4 brothers, Thomas, Mahlon, Solon, and Mayberry Blosser.
Funeral services were conducted at the Stanley Seventh Day Adventist Church of which he was a member for nearly 53 years. He was active in the work and support of the church. His life was characterized by industry, integrity, hospitality and devotion to his family and loved ones. The last rites were conducted by Eld. W. P. Schooley, assisted by Eld. Loren Poole of New Market.
Pallbearers were Edward Blosser, Edward Scott, Calvin Bradley, Carol Good, Julius Anderson, and Clyde Painter.
Honorary pallbearers were John Hilliard, Howard Good, Randolph Good, W. L. Woodryff, Sam Price, John Aleshire, Robert Huffman, Virgil Price, Gilbert Housden, Wilson Kite, Henry Gander, James Gander, Randolph Dovel, John Bushey, Eugene Aleshire, Jennings Aleshire, Evans Painter, Melvin Good, Joe McDaniel, Medford Painter, Granville Richards, Robert Rickard, Bobby Painter, Glendon Blosser Ervin Hackley and B.
