She had been ill for 12 years, and died of stomach cancer. She had been a resident of Gila County for 38 years, and had been in the United States since 1891 from England.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Simon. She was survived by her two sons, Simon and Joseph; one daughter, Myrtle, a teacher at Hill Street School; her mother, Mary Elizabeth Hampton; eight sisters, Mrs. Albert Kinsman, Globe; Mrs. Richard Davis, Globe; Mrs. Dan Tracey, Globe; Mrs. Lily Richards, Globe; Mrs. Joe Scurr, Globe; Mrs. May Craddock, Globe; Mrs. William Dennis, Gardena, Calif.; Mrs. Frank Benbow, Whittier, Calif.; three brothers, James Henry Hampton, Long Beach, Calif.; Alfred Hampton, Redruth, England; Albert E. Hampton, Grass Valley, Calif.; a niece, Mrs. D.L. Byerly; and three grandchildren.
